Thursday 20th January 2022: MIUC Laws conducted the 2nd Annual Metropolitan Moot Court Competition (MMCC), an exciting event which saw teams from LLB 1 & 2 facing each other with a tortious case on negligently cause death, and advocates from both sides battled it out with their points and arguments. Whilst Haadiya Furqan won the Best Debater award, Hyder Qasim Khan’s spectacular performance and Salar Khan’s arguments were especially appreciated by the panel of judges and Team Defense took the Winning Team award. This year saw an unprecedented and all female panel of judges which included: Ma’am Rahat Kaunain Hassan, Chairperson Competition Commission of Pakistan, Ms. Umaira Raza Iqbal, Advocate High Court, Ms. Mariyam Qureshi Advocate High Court, Ms. Mahnoor Asif Advocate High Court and Ms. Iqra Bano Sohail Advocate.
