Metropolitan Entrepreneurship week 2021 has been started at Roots International Schools & Colleges (Wellington Campus) and Metropolitan International United College (MIUC) Islamabad.
A week long entrepreneurship week was inaugurated with the colorful event at Metropolitan International United College (MIUC) – Roots International Schools and colleges, Islamabad. The president of Islamabad chamber of commerce Mr. Shakeel Munir, Chief Executive officer Mr. Aman Shiekh jointly inaugurated the MEW 2021 as the guest of honors of the event.
CEO RISC & MIUC Mr. Walid Mushtaq received the guests. Both the guests were greeted warmly at the premises by the student council. After the formal inauguration, guests were taken on a tour of the cultural fest, where they were shown several student-designed projects. Students have arranged the cultural fest to have the representation of all the provinces of Pakistan. The students briefed the chief guest about their projects and received great appreciation and encouragement for their work.
President ICCI, Mr. Shakeel Munir applauded the RISC on organizing such initiatives which promotes entrepreneurship skills in youth. He encouraged students to work on developing practical skills that will help them to build their entrepreneur career. He also mentioned that government should also take more steps like Kamyab jawan which will give opportunity and venues to our youth where they can polish their skills. Mr. Aman Shaikh CEO Davis Pharma, in his brief address, has appreciated the efforts of RISC in building the entrepreneurship skills in to the youth. He emphasized that such like venues should be organized more often so that students and entrepreneurs can interact with each other more frequently.
Mr. Walid Mushtaq, CEO RISC in is his brief talk thanked the guests for taking out time of their hectic schedules to attend the event. He said their presence would not only motivate the students but would also encourage them to take steps which would be beneficial in their educational and societal growth.
Roots international Schools and Colleges organizes entrepreneurship every year with the aim to promote and polish the Entrepreneurship potential of its students. RISC is a proud partners of Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), an organization that works to stimulate and encourage the entrepreneurship culture. RISC have been organizing several forums and events to promote and nurture the entrepreneurial spirit of students. RISC’s graduates are enterprising thinkers and versatile individuals.
The “RISC- MIUC- MEW 2021” is a weeklong entrepreneurship summit on start-up counselling, entrepreneurship and leadership based on the economics, international relations, media, business and global economy. The theme of the summit is a “Emerging trends and opportunities in Entrepreneurship after COVID-19.”
Among the many events packed into the week, the “RISC – Global Entrepreneurship Week” recognizes communication, cooperation, and dialogue to be the most important aspect of the conference. The individuals that create the conference are each other’s best resource in uncovering the similarities and differences between people from different backgrounds coming from diverse geographical locations.
One the final day of the NEW-2021 the students will submit their business proposals which they will be preparing in the whole week in consultation with the successful entrepreneurs. Leading businessmen and influential speakers will be giving their lectures and panel discussion to educate the students on the theme of entrepreneurship throughout the week. These business plan will be evaluated by the jury which will be consist of leading entrepreneurs of Pakistan at the closing ceremony.
