The Professional Photography (HND) offers you the unique opportunity to develop your own signature style and visual language in the creation of a professional photography portfolio. This program has been designed to extend the interaction of the theoretical, technical and creative aspects of photography within areas of rapid and continuous technological change. The department of photography (HND) MIUC has been developed in response to perceived needs of professional photographers and photographic industries, who have contributed throughout the planning stages. This two-year programme explores analytical and critical approaches to photographic imagery, together with the study of the critical context of Professional Photography (HND). You will develop your technical, darkroom and studio skills whilst exploring images from a critical stance. At the end of the course you will be expected to create a professional portfolio of work to assist you in pursuing a successful career in the industry.
MIUC Photography courses will be delivered in a brand new professional photographic suite in a new state of the art Creative Enterprise Campus in Ware. All technical and practical courses are delivered by staff with photographic industry experience and by current practitioners.

work experience.

You can also convert your HND to a bachelor’s degree with extra study. Once you complete your course, HND can allow entry into the second or third year.
