Whenever I tell someone from home that I go to MIUC, a lot of people say, “Oh that’s in the Universities which Changes Lives, right?” Well, yes it is. Like many of you and your parents, my mom found this BSC University of London program during my college search and made me research just about every school in there.
After deciding on Economics a Management Degree, I began sifting through university prospectus looking at the courses available. Initially, UOL Degree, and in particular MIUC’s BSc Program, stood out because of the number of prestigious lecturers affiliated with the institution. My desire to apply to MIUC UOL Degree program was heightened by the structure of the course, which I thought suited me well. Again, it was the breadth offered that was so appealing.

I was encouraged by the people around me to apply at MIUC and I’m really glad that I did. In terms of Economics, I have always been interested in the way the world is run and it was clear to me that Economics constitutes a significant aspect of this. I’ve had more than a few lively discussions with friends about which subject is more important, but I think that Economics has a pretty reasonable claim to the crown (perhaps I am a little bit biased!) especially if it’s University of London Degree Program. In this degree You’ll explore the interaction between the economic environment and the organizations which inhabit it, while developing the analytical, quantitative, computing, presentation and other transferable skills required by the business world and employers in both the private and public sectors.

I am Momina Khurram and am currently double majoring in International Studies and Political Science with a minor in Psychology at Whitworth University in Washington state. Its been almost a year and I can say that I have grown so much as a person academically and in general. The decision of moving from my country to an entirely different place with all the difference, I believe that it helped me appreciate things in my life. I would really like to thank MIUC and the global reach department for helping me make this life changing decision. Having done IBDP helped me adjust very well into the university’s academic system. I am currently hoping to work for the leadership team of my University and have been actively participating in all of the cultural activities. I won the judges choice award for Top Chef and our South Asian dance for the International festival was a great hit. We have also initiated an asian group on campus and are working on the representation of different Asian country. The depth and detail of what I have learned in my program is far beyond my high school experience. The courses are diverse and well-structured.
